海伦说, 吃粥很麻烦,
特别是一个人吃, 熬一碗粥, 要煮几个小时.
她指的是广东明火白粥.
我说不会呀.
我通常半个小时就搞定一锅粥.
我指的是电饭锅冷饭粥.
在锅里吃剩的冷饭, 加足够的水,
按下煮粥的控钮, 粥就开始煮了.
在同样的时间里, 准备要加的配料.
切了一饭碗圣诞节吃剩的火腿, 两粒皮蛋切碎,
两粒咸蛋黄切碎, 切些姜丝葱粒.
另外用电水壶煮开一壶水...
一切就绪好...
电饭锅里的粥煮好了, 够糜够软了, 但是比较稠.
把粥倒入一大锅内, 加开水到自己喜欢的稠度,
搅拌煮滚, 加入火腿皮蛋咸蛋, 再煮两滚,
调味, 放入姜丝葱粒, 熄火.
这时再打两粒鸡蛋拌入, 搅散就行了.
吃时, 浇上麻油胡椒粉和生抽.
香喷喷的省时粥!

but half an hour is really quick to get that smooth porridge I see from your pics
ya, making porridge are much esier and faster in the rice cooker, provided your rice cooker has the porridge feature.
btw, i used calrose rice, that's why the porridge looked so smooth.
